The 530 keyboard is a microprocessor control that automatically starts
and stops a carousel at a designated position when a bin number is
entered through the keyboard. The controller moves the carousel either
clockwise or counterclockwise to bring the selected bin to the operator
by the shortest route.
The 530 controller can also be programmed for up
to 250 pre-selected entries. Two picking routines are available. A
sorting routine will recall the entries in numerically ascending order
(1, 2, 5, 8, 10, 11, etc.), or a first-in, first-out routine (FIFO).
If the control is disconnected, or power is
interrupted, setup parameters and queued entries will be retained in
memory. When the power is restored, re-programming is not required. The
530 with RS-232 interface can be used for computer/terminal controlled
picking and storing.
The 530 Controller must be coupled to a 680
Carousel Control Box. This setup will power a carousel with up to dual
2HP DC motors.
