PROBLEM
When the Central York School District was constructing their new high
school, school administrators wanted to both conserve and maximize space
in the new building. Administrators were especially concerned because
the new library only had a limited area for the school’s current
collection of reference materials, with little space to accommodate
future growth. They turned to Datum Filing Systems equipment to help
them address their space planning needs.
SOLUTION
After reviewing the library floor plan and assessing their storage and
accessibility requirements, Datum assisted the school administration in
selecting a MobileTrak5® System with 4Post™ Shelving. The new system
allowed the library to store all materials in less floor space than
originally anticipated. The space savings also created room for
additional student workstations in the reference area of the library.
Additionally, the administration was able to choose paintand laminate
options to match the décor of the new library.
